On Wednesday April 29th, local community organizations including @indivisiblewci, @black_legacy_project_wc, and local chapters of the NAACP and League of Women Voters hosted a “meet the candidates” events to learn where individuals running for offices directly impacting the Richmond and Wayne County Indiana areas stand and primary Election Day approaches on May 5th. Pete Zaleski (R), running for state representative of IN56 was asked prepared questions first, focused on affordability and cost of living. Following Ron Itnyre (D), and sitting state senator Jeff Raatz, (R), answered questions around taxes, affordability, due process, and education to present themselves for the upcoming midterm election in November. Closing the evening, Wayne County Sheriff candidates Alan Moore (R) and Kyle Weatherly (R), both answered question on how they’d operate as the county’s head of law enforcement, while both pulling from their lifelong public service experience and commitment to public safety. #community #politics #indiana #richmondindiana #2026elections

This month’s showcase of regional talent featured @kyle__hazard and @rachelapplebymusic Lyricist’s Corner focused on showcasing local and regional songwriters in a musicians in the round format, allowing artists to share the stories and deeper unsigned in to the song they create and preform. This no cost event is hosted on a monthly basis by @achillestenderloin and @mrlrichmond.
